New Trailer

There's a new Clover: A Curious Tale trailer over on the Blitz 1UP YouTube channel.

Naturally I've posted it here, and also covered the thing with lots of annotations to highlight all the sublime wonderfulness that's gone into the new version of the game.

Shame I can't talk in the trailer about the four new endings, the side quest, the specifics of some of the tricksy new puzzles, the new characters (come on, think of the spoilers!), the French and Spanish translations, or just the mere fact that there's 8,000 words of script in the game.

Looks ace, can't come soon enough!

I wish the "Off we go!" as spoken by the horse & cart owner was closer to the mumble of the original. That (awesome) little mumble made fast-travelling in the original all the more enjoyable for me (it's the little things in life that make me smile!) but I'm being overly picky (and becoming the type of person that annoys me, so I'm going to shut up right now). Can't wait to play this and will be elbowing all my friends and colleagues to purchase it (again).

Heh, I did that line in the original! Just wait 'til you hear Farmer Jed's new line in the epilogue...

There's a parrot which appeals to a particularly infantile part of my sense of humour. I've spent too much time on playtests getting it to repeat dialogue in it's parroty pitch-shift.

I'm jealous now, I've never done dialogue. I only ever got to do the Chameleon's sounds in Viva Pinata and then Justin Cook (lead designer) ripped them all off for the Newt too, the filthy bandit!

Will keep an eye (ear?) out for the parrot!
