Grapple Buggy Interview

The nice people at GamerBytes have conducted an interview with Nathan Fouts, creator of Weapon Of Choice and the upcoming Grapple Buggy.

His new title looks like it'll be a lot of fun, and having played WoC I'm confident it'll be quite mental too. Nathan was one of the early playtesters on Clover, so why don't you be a bunch of darlings and go check it out?

XBLIG Auf Deutschland

It would seem from my figures that there's a lot of Xbox Live users in Germany. More than Sweden, France, Italy and Spain, and almost the same as Canada.

It'll be interesting to see if their interest holds up. I'll also be interested to see what the mainstream German media makes of the whole thing, seeing as the games aren't reviewed by classification boards and could so contain all manner of nastiness that is verboten.

Clover Now Available in Germany, Sweden, Japan, and Singapore

Thanks to some fantastic new changes to Xbox Live Indie Games, Clover is now available to buy in Germany, Sweden, Japan and Singapore.

The XNA team has implemented some great new features for developers, including the ability to have up to 50 review tokens available for each game, meaning we no longer have to send out Microsoft Points to would-be reviewers, in the hope they might cover the game. This will also save me having to hunt out certain unscrupulous gitbags from print magazines who have requested MSP from me, only to then not cover the game or reply to emails... You know who you are!

New news news.

I've got some more cryptic news on the New News. Courtesy of some new friends I've made, you might be seeing Binary Tweed in an upcoming issue of a well-respected print magazine. If that all comes off, then I'll be telling all about the New News.

Phillip Joyce, In Union

The rather wonderful designer Phillip Joyce has finally set up his portfolio site at phillipjoyce.co.uk.

Phil did the branding work for Binary Tweed, including contributing to the brand identity and logo design. I've worked with Phil for about fours years, and can vouch for his design skillage and ability to really get to the nub of a design concept.

So, if you need an online presence or brand creating, you know where to head to!

Interview, Audio

I'm still not able to tell you about the new news. Yes, there is some news, and yes, it is new, but I can't tell you about it.

The lovely chaps at X360 Magazine have posted an interview with my good self that involves a lot of me griping. On the plus side, I do use the phrase "gibbering talentless 7-year-old."

If you're interested in all things audio, don't forget to check out Owen Price's Audious blog and podcasts (back in my day we called them "MP3s on the internet"), as he talks about some of the original sound design and implementation in Clover.
